My stay at Hotel Metropole was mixed. While the location is superb, just a few minutes from St. Mark's Square, I found the hotel itself lacking in charm. The room, though spacious and comfortable, had some cleanliness issues and an outdated decor that could use some love. The staff were friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and comfortable, but the decor felt dated and dusty. I had a lovely bathroom that was modern, which was a nice contrast.
Service
8.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and remembered my name and preferences. however, I did have mixed experiences with the concierge's reliability.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly located near major attractions and a vaporetto stop, making it easy to explore Venice; however, the area felt a bit chaotic at times.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was underwhelming. I was disappointed by the dining experience overall, as the bistrot was quite overpriced.
Facilities

The hotel has decent facilities, including a bar with a lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed the gardens and the drink options, but there could be improvements.

I found Hotel Metropole Venezia to be a stunning place with a lot of charm, though the service could have been more attentive. The location is undeniably convenient, nestled close to San Marco, but that also means it's quite crowded at times. My room was comfortable, albeit noisy given its proximity to the Grande Canal. Overall, while I appreciated the ambiance and decor, a couple of issues with dining and service left me a bit disappointed.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious for Venice, and the decor was quite dramatic. However, it faced the noisy canal, which made for some late-night disturbances.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly, yet the service felt a bit rushed or perfunctory at times. I was let down when I wasn't informed of the restaurant closure on my first night.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short stroll to San Marco Square, but it can be too bustling and overwhelming for my taste.
Dining
5.0
While I had hoped to dine in their restaurant, it was closed, and I found the limited bar menu lacking. The breakfast area was lovely, but the steep price for breakfast didn't feel justified.
Facilities
7.0
They had nice amenities like complimentary water upon arrival and a well-decorated bar area, but some additional services felt overpriced.

My stay at Hotel Metropole Venezia was a mix of highs and lows. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my visit. However, the air conditioning wasn't operational during my stay, which made my room quite uncomfortable at times. The location near St. Mark's Square was perfect for exploring the city, but the room I had fell short of the modern standards expected from a hotel of this caliber. Overall, it was a beautiful hotel with character, but it could use some updates in certain areas. 🌟🥂

Hotel Metropole Venezia is a charming spot, steeped in history and character, making it a lovely choice for a stay in Venice. The location is excellent, just a short walk to St. Mark's Square, yet I noticed some inconsistencies, particularly with the pricing at the restaurant and some minor decor issues. Overall, the staff were friendly and attentive, but there's room for improvement in areas like room accessibility.

Rooms

I stayed in a Classic Room with a garden view, but it was somewhat cramped and had obstructed views due to a dirty awning. The bathroom was modern, and I appreciated the complimentary water bottles each night, but the stairs to the room were a challenge for my wife, who had a knee injury.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the concierge and the reception team. They made me feel welcome during my stay, although I did encounter some issues with billing at the bistro that could have been managed better.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, right in front of Riva degli Schiavoni and only a leisurely 10-minute walk to St. Mark's Square. It's conveniently close to the vaporetto stops, making it easy to explore the city.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was served in a beautiful garden area and offered a good selection, but I found it quite expensive for what was available. I paid 40 euros but only had coffee available before 7:30 am, which was frustrating when I had an early checkout.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers a variety of facilities, including laundry and room service. However, I found the restrictions on ironing facilities awkward and the spa pricing to be on the higher side.

My stay at Hotel Metropole Venezia was a blend of amazing experiences and minor disappointments. While the hotel boasts stunning Baroque decor and an really good staff who went above and beyond to ensure comfort, I encountered issues, particularly with breakfast service and a lack of in-room amenities. The beautiful location near San Marco was a highlight, but it came with a steep price tag.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and beautifully decorated in an 18th-century style, complete with modern amenities like a large bathroom and comfortable bed. However, I found that the air conditioning could be a bit challenging to manage at times.
Service
9.0
The personnel truly made my stay good, always professional, friendly, and anticipating my needs. However, there were moments when communication about specific requests, like breakfast options, could have been better.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is extraordinary, only a couple of hundred meters from St Marks Square, making it easy to explore the city's highlights. The atmosphere outside is perfect for enjoying cocktails in the lovely garden.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered a wide selection, but I found the pricing at around €40 per person to be quite steep for what was available. The drinks at the bar were well-crafted but came at a high cost as well.
Facilities
7.0
The spa was a luxurious experience, but the price for exclusive access was higher than I expected. Also, I missed having tea and coffee-making facilities in my room.
